Change of Address in Charleston, SC
All non-foreigners in the U.S. must, within 10 days of moving, inform the USCIS of their new address, with some exceptions such as diplomats, G-visa holders, and certain 30-day or shorter stays. Failure to willfully comply can result in a fine of up to $200 or imprisonment for up to 30 days or both, plus the forfeiture of any future visas.
Change of address is completed by
- If no USCIS case is pending, by mail or electronically using Form AR-11,
- If a USCIS case is pending, by mail or electronically using Form AR-11 and by changing the address on your case-approved applications or calling 800-375-5283.
