Since 2011, the USCIS has sent original Approval Notices to petitioners or applicants, with copies to attorneys who file USCIS Form G-28. Occasionally, duplicate notices are needed to replace lost, stolen, or destroyed notices or to request a duplicate be sent to another U.S. consulate for derivative visas for family members.
Submission Process
Requests are submitted on USCIS Form I-824, with accompanying documentation and payment of all required filing fees.
