Border Commuter Students in Charleston, SC
Certain F-1 and M-1 Visa students who attend school in the U.S. from Canada and Mexico enjoy an exception to the requirement of full-time attendance. Subject to special limitations, they must attend an approved school within 75 miles of the border and maintain their foreign residence to be part-time students.
Also, TN Visa holders can attend school in the U.S. without an F-1 or M-1 visa if such schooling is incidental to their TN purposes.
